“After lock down our family needed to get together. We chose Dancing Hill and we could not have chosen better,it was beautiful. The views are breathtaking the house is amazing and it was impeccably clean. We all had the very best time, walking our dogs and chilling with the children. We would recommend this incredible house and location. I wish we had known about the butcher, Pynes, in the village earlier his produce is second to none. Thank you.”

“we found viney hill had everything from glasses/cutlery to bar b q, the swimming pool was first class, the bedrooms were large and clean, shops, resturants were all close by WHAT ELSE COULD YOU ASK FOR”

“Wonderful holiday for families, we were from 2years old to 77 years old - no problem! Beautiful house and grounds, games room and outdoor play. The hot tub was a very big hit! We could find no fault.”

“A lovely house and garden but a few problems. There is constant traffic noise and occasionally trains can be heard. The kitchen lacks many items, no coffee maker of any sort, no large teapot, no milk jug or sugar bowl, no potato peeler, no oven gloves, no wooden cheese board. The bath towels provided were very skimpy, one bath plug did not work, one curtain rail fell off the wall the first time the curtains were drawn, however the owner did come quickly and fix this. Several windows would not open, a nuisance in the hot weather. The gardens and the pool were great.”

“Small issues quickly rectified. Settee needs urgently replacing most uncomfortable. Didn’t feel property had been deep cleaned as per govt COVID guidelines however once we settled in we had an enjoyable holiday in Foxcombe”

“We stayed at cockercombe for a week and had a fabulous time, a beautiful house with great facilities including the pool and table tennis as well as a wonderful play area for the children, we all really enjoyed it, within easy reach of nice places to visit and we all felt like we had all had a really nice break, fully recommend it and would be very happy to book the house again.”

“Great house with a seamless check in. We had a fabulous time at Otterhead House and the property was of a high standard. We particularly loved the cinema room, and the spaciousness in the house. The master bedroom above the kitchen commands spectacular views of the garden below and the surrounding countryside, through its floor to ceiling double aspect floor to ceiling windows. The location above the main kitchen did mean that whenever anyone was up late, or early below, the noise carried so i would recommend good earplugs and ...maybe less wine. What we particularly liked was the recommendations for additional services, which we used. Jackie's Cakes was AMAZING and plentiful for afternoon tea which we had delivered on arrival(would highly recommend this) and Marc Jerem came to the house and prepared the most delicious meal for us on our last night. Still craving the fish cakes... A stunning place.”

“This was our second family holiday with Sleeps12. It is difficult to find large properties to suit three generations within a large [and growing] family but both properties have been excellent. Spacious, with ensuite shower rooms and additional benefit of a heated pool and games room.”
