“We found Culmbridge House accommodation suited our needs perfectly for a friends and family weekend celebration. The house was warm, comfortable and plenty large enough. The bedrooms were spacious with very comfy beds. The kitchen was well equipped, the Barbeque hut was great and the play equipment was most enjoyed. The swimming pool was brilliant, large enough to swim seriously and great fun for games finished off with a sauna, great.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay at Coat Barn. The property was superbly equipped and cavernous. The rooms were all of a very good size and some were huge with beautifully appointed bathrooms. The area was quiet and very rural and yet within easy reach of a multitude of interesting places to visit. We were a self catering group with a visiting chef on our last night. The kitchen was very well appointed with three ovens, two fridges and two freezers and more kitchen equipment than you could shake a stick at; all in excellent condition. We were a group of twelve, so seating around the large table was comfortable but I guess it would have been a little tight for 16, but certainly possible. Nine televisions! But none turned on, there was so much to do. We engaged a classical guitarist on one evening, Jonathan Pickard, which ended a perfect evening after a perfect meal in wonderful settings. My only negative observation is the car park, which was rather too small, especially when it had to be shared with refuse collection and linen delivery. This resulted in three cars being parked off site. Communications with the house keeper/manager were excellent and easy, and Caroline was very helpful and always charming. I highly recommend this outstanding property.”

“House was well appointed and presented ... interestingly quirky ... and comfortable ... the instructions were spot on and the owner called in on the first night to confirm all was ok and answer any queries we had ... suited us 10 adults with two children and a baby . Lovely place”

“After arriving on a Friday afternoon we received a very warm welcome- homemade cake and biscuits and fresh flowers. James and Katie were lovely and after showing us around their beautiful home they left us to our birthday celebrations. The house was more than I had expected and spotlessly clean!! We had the most fantastic weekend and will definitely be returning.”

“We’ve stayed in many sleeps 12 properties this one had everything we needed very well equipped and lovely property pool was warm steam room and sauna amazing and hot tub and many of games of pool played in games room everything perfect thanks guys”

“What a fantastic house!! We were a party of 11 couples celebrating my 50th birthday. The bedrooms were individual styled and very comfortable. The highlight was the bar and pool table! Will definitely go back.”

“Fantastic place with certainly the WOW factor - we were a family celebrating a special 80th Birthday and the age range was 2-82 - the place accommodates everyone and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a large place to have some special time making such wonderful memories - Many Thanks to all.”

“The range of properties is amazing, all very modern and Shires particularly is to a very high standard with welcoming host Gary. Would definitely recommend for groups wanting a special getaway feel with the ease of Sleeps12.”

“11 of us recently spent a wonderful 4 nights at Foxcombe. The facilities are excellent and it was so well kitted out with two dishwasher machines, washing machine, tumble drier etc. The super large TV was great for watching the Rugby World Cup and the World Athletic Champs and the swimming pool was ideal for trying to get rid of some of the huge meals we tucked away (along with wine etc!) whilst sitting around the wonderful dining table. The whole place was spotless and the beds very comfortable. Just a great time was had by all.”

“The property was in a beautiful setting. It is extremely well designed and equipped, the kitchen facilities are fabulous. The property is ideal for a fairly large group of people. The beds are very comfortable and the shower/bath facilities are very good. The owners are friendly and very helpful.”

“We had a lovely stay at Foxcombe. It was very well equipped & was close to a couple of lovely pubs/restaurants. Just a couple of "picky" complaints. The courtyard lights stay on all night, which if you are used to a dark room to sleep in,makes it difficult in the bedroom next to the courtyard . There was chewing gum stuck to the inside of 2 of the lampshades over the dining table & the remnants of a balloon not cleared up. Also it might be an idea to move & clean under the sofas! Apart from that all good thankyou”
