“Firstly call me old fashioned, made to feel very welcome when we arrive d staff friendly and welcoming.
Ordered Sunday lunch of the menu which was superb. Its expensive to eat out anywhere these days so a warm welcome and good food and decent beer is a plus this Pub delivered.”
“My children and grandchildren, a party of 9. Food. Waited 40 mins for food. One person got his before the others and was half eaten before the others got theirs. One burger was ordered as plain but came with cheese etc. This took 20 mins to replace and was dry and overcooked. Another burger was 'forgotten'. One nut roast was ordered but what came was not a nut roast but some plant based rubbery 'thing'. The seasonal veg was a dessert spoon of overcooked watery cabbage and 8 peas. No parsnips etc. Waitress said "sorry but nut roast were not delivered this week". Not satisfactory at all. Asked for grilled haloumi to replace it and got a miss mash of rocket, shredded kale and sun dried tomatoes but no honeyed onions as advertised but with some olives that were not advertised or asked for. There was one small piece of cheese all for £9.00. The 'forgotten' burger arrived eventually but it was overcooked and the burger bun was burnt around the edge. My granddaughter couldn't eat all of the chicken burger as was too dry. Why don't we even get salad with burgers these days? NOBODY came and asked if our meals were ok, NOBODY asked if we wanted more drinks etc. Despite complaining about all the issues not one penny was knock off of the £200 bill.....and then they want a discretionary 10% for service!!! (Not paid!)We noted that two other tables around us were also unhappy about the quality of food. We will never set foot in there again Shepherd and Neame”
“Probably the most appalling meal I have ever had to endure eating. Over cooked chicken wings as a starter or had they just been reheated ? The three pizzas that were served were Soggy, tasted of salt whilst the undercooked frozen onion rings felt like swallowing a hair down your throat? Just wanted a simple meal for three guys who had just worked a twelve hour shift. Thank god the Moretti was good. Dreadful experience.”

Although my husband & I had a meal we were disappointed with the food and price.”
