“As late converts to ski-ing, Julian and I have had lessons in previous years with ESF, but thought we'd try another option this year - that's how we discovered Snow School, and how glad we are that we did! We had lessons on five consecutive mornings and the turning point for me personally was when I realised that I was actually really looking forward to the next day's lesson! Paul's sense of humour and his ability to get the message across in a simple, meaningful way make learning fun - even for someone who didn't put on a pair of skis until the ripe old age of 50! He knows just how far to push you, building confidence but not stretching you too far. I really hope we're back in the resort next year to learn even more from him - and enjoy another coffee/pain au chocolat as a well-earned reward! Elaine and Julian”

“We had a fabulous holiday in Meribel. We were fortunate enough to be able to leave all four of our children in ski school with Paul. Despite the age difference Paul was very able to bring them all up to a standard where they could comfortably and happily ski across the valleys for some really fun adventurous mornings out. All the children enjoyed Paul's company and had a great time! I would definitely recommend!”

“Have used many different ski schools over the years and this is the best I have ever had. Great customer understanding and friendly/fun/polite approach, makes a massive difference especially for me who needed to get my confidence back. Will definitely book more lessons with Paul and Tom, see you next year!!. All the best, Nuria :-)”

“Hi - I had never been skiing before and having had a pretty miserable time at an indoor snow dome here in the UK I was quite apprehensive pre my lesson with Paul. I have to say my opinion completely changed after my lesson, I really enjoyed myself. Paul was super patient and didn't make me feel guilty for being so rubbish initially. I was only in Meribel for two full ski days so I didn't get the chance to learn more than the basics, however if I go back next year I won't hesitate to rebook with snow school (specifically requesting Paul again!) Thanks! I had a great time in my lessons :) Heena Patel (Meribel 16th -17th March 14)”

“Our experienced ski friends urged us to get a private instructor and having 5 mornings with Paul from the Snow School was excellent. His patience, flexibility and great personality meant we (two adults and two children of varying ages and abilities) all benefited from our time with him and each of us improved significantly. There are no strict rules with the Snow School which means you don't feel inhibited and can go back over things if you feel you need a refresher at any time. We will definitely book Paul again for next year.”

“We took our Children skiing for the first time during the first week of March to Meribel. As a parent entrusting my Children to someone else's care, I wanted to make sure that I could have a chat with them first and build up a picture of what they were like. It was also important to me that the school were English, as opposed to English speaking as I wanted my Children to be able to communicate well, with confidence, as they would be in lessons 3 hours a day for 5 days. During my initial contact with Paul, I immediately felt at ease. He was friendly and polite, as well as knowledgeable, and understood our requirements. The children had a fantastic time skiing and progressed beyond our expectations during their first week with JoJo. We were totally reassured whilst they were out of our care, as the team provided not only great teaching, but excellent care and brilliant communication with us the whole time. I also had a one on one lesson with Paul to perfect my turns , and found that it was like skiing with a friend who was giving constructive advice, rather than a daunting experience, and we had a few laughs along the way. All in all, I would totally recommend The Snow School, and would definitely use them again. Thank you all for all your help, and for a great holiday! The Dunning Family Cheltenham”

“We booked an instructor with the snow school for our two five year old boys who were going skiing for the very first time. As they have older siblings we wanted them to get up to speed as quickly as possible, rather than just putting them in to a large group and possibly french language ski school. Paul was brilliant with the two boys and they looked forward to their lessons with him every day. The boys went from complete novices on day one to being able to complete any blue run we threw at them by day five. It made a big difference to our holiday to be able to get out and about with the boys rather than being restricted to the nursery slopes.Would not hesitate in using the snow school again, or recommending to others, based on our experience.”

“I was a nervous but experienced skier who avoided bumps and usually went down steep pitches with tense shoulders, praying under my breath. I booked four private lessons with Paul and his enthusiasm and skill as an instructor has transformed my skiing. By the end of the week I was going down the bumps under the Tougnette bubble and the Cote Brune with a big grin on my face. It has been a fantastic experience. Thank you Paul, Susan.”

“What can I say, I have just had the most amazing weekend in Meribel and a massive part of that was down to how brilliant my three 1-1 lessons with The Snow School were!! I had NEVER skied before. From enquiry onward Paul's communication and organisation were outstanding, he really went out of his way to work around our other plans. I had my first lesson with JoJo and my next two with Paul. Both of them were fantastic; great instructors with a totally accessible patient teaching style, encouraging but never pushy, as well as being lovely people who were easy to talk to and laugh with! I thought a blue run after 9 hours lessons was pretty impressive and I although I would like to think it was some sort of effortless natural aptitude I really think it was down to them. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO THE SNOW SCHOOL - I hope to be back soon x”

“We took a private lesson with a friend and it was great. It was very easy to arrange the lesson (even though I left it to the last minute). Paul was very communicative and helpful. Explained all the steps clearly. Greg, our instructor, was great too. He helped us build our confidence and improve our technique. Our overall experience was excellent. Definitely recommended.”

“Paul was an excellent instructor who managed to get the children to gain in confidence and ability on their first ski holiday. They all loved the lessons, and the parents felt relaxed and confident in Paul's ability to keep them safe and provided for. The children explored the entire 3 valleys area, and were pushed just enough so that their skiing improved significantly without impacting on their confidence or enjoyment. I would thorough recommend.”

“I arranged 12 hours of lessons for my wife with The Snow School during a week at Meribel at the beginning of February. She is a nervous beginner who started skiing two years ago at the age of nearly 60. Congratulations to your instructor Sam who had the patience, sensitivity and enthusiasm to make my wife's week at a very good experience (I suspect his youthful good looks probably also helped). I would not hesitate to recommend The Ski School; quality instruction at value- for- money prices from very competent instructors. We will book again next time we are in the Three Valleys. “My daughter, her friend and I booked Paul for two afternoon lessons last week having previously had a lesson with him the year before. Once again we were not disappointed - friendly, down to earth and most of all useful tips and advoce meant that we all felt we had greatly benefited from the sessions. We will definitely book again and let's hope we finish early enough for that beer next time!”

“We used Snow School for our three children on their first skiing holiday this year. Paul was very approachable and helpful in understanding what we required and the children really enjoyed their lessons. They picked up skiing very quickly and are raring to go back again next year!
