I have booked my stay but it wasn't easy to find out what I needed to know before booking, and Ive had to resort to other web-sites to find out where it is. I was trying to book alongside a family member with an existing booking, but the the web-site does not make it clear that there are four separate sites, or where they are. There are no photographs showing the overview of the sites, panoramas, views, facilities; no maps to show here the different facilities are. A plan of a caravan is fine, but where is it? As a result I wasn't confident to book a caravan, so opted for camping instead as we will lose less money if it turns out to be dreadful. Even after booking (I worked out later that this at a different site two miles away) I have not received details of the address or directions. The booking system itself works but I want to see a map of where my accommodation is compared to the rest of the site e.g. do I now have a half mile trek to the toilet block, and do I need a torch at night to egt there safely? I want to see all these things *before* I book. A fancy video of surfing sets a 'mood', but I wanted facts.

Small, clean and pleasant site with a helpful staff team. Pleasantly surprised as we wanted a budget holiday and my previous experiences of holiday parks has not been great. Very good activities for young families and accommodation to suit every budget. We were pleased to be able to hire a caravan close to the family we were visiting with, who were on the touring part of the site. Our caravan was new, spotless and very well equipped indeed. You can use the facilities on all 4 parks and I would recommend the wave surfer and high ropes at Golden Coast for adventurous youngsters (and parents!) There is also a bus to take you between sites and to the beach so you can leave the car on site. Amazing beach within 5 mins drive (20 mins walk) with cheap surf hire and lovely walks.

First night at Twitchen house we were kept awake by a pitch next door (J59 seasonal pitch) having a party, when I asked them turn the music down a bit they went and turned it up and the shouting got even loader. When I asked them the second time they said in an aggressive manner that if you don't f**king like it then don't f**king come here and we are a seasonal pitch and we can do what we like. Not very nice people. I was ready to go home the next day, I reported to reception and they said they would send a wardon up to see me, they even told the wardon the wrong info. Any way we moved pitches, that evening we had no electric and was told 3 rows of caravans have lost electric and they could not find the trip switch on site. Also no toilet paper in the toilet, showers that did not work and even had to queue for the showers. On the last day they had black water in the toilets when you pulled the flush. I think that the site was very under staffed and one thing I am not doing is queuing over 30 minutes to get a drink in the bars, could not find a seat anyway. Swimming pool over crowded and only had 8 changing rooms, and very cold. when someone started throwing a frizbie around I thought it was time to get out. On the plus side was the bus that took you from site to site and to the beach but other than that I was glad to go home.......

Just got back after our Easter break, first time touring at Twitchen park. Disappointed with the shower & toilet block, toilets blocked unable to flush, no water, never any toilet rolls. Long waiting time at the bar 20mins plus. That's just poor management. Most people pre book, so they should have a idea of numbers. Will go again because we like Woolacombe
