“Before anything else, thank you Melissa for replying to emails faster than my own inner monologue, and Laura and Archita for somehow finding the soul of a book I had only half-explained and mostly panicked about. I used Edioak for ghostwriting, which is a polite way of saying I had ideas everywhere, notes everywhere, and discipline absolutely nowhere. I was worried my voice would get lost or, worse, turned into something generic. That didn’t happen. The drafts felt uncannily familiar, like reading something I meant to write but never had the patience to finish. There were moments I laughed, moments I argued back at the document, and moments I thought, “Okay, that’s uncomfortably accurate.” This wasn’t a push-button process.
