“Everyone at Elsby and Co is friendly and responsive. For over 10 years they have looked after my business accounts and personal tax returns as well as writing our wills. “I have found the team at Elsby & Co to be a great help to me throughout COVID. Their regular updates re government help and support, including direct intervention on my behalf with Local Authorities has been a godsend. “We have been with Elsby & Co for many years. We have always found them to be extremely helpful, courteous and professional at all times. We have been especially appreciative of their support throughout 2020, having had to furlough. Aware they have had to adapt quickly to constantly changing legislation in relation to COVID-19, but at the same time keep abreast of and advise regarding implications relating to Brexit. “Based on a recent face to face meeting, I found them informative, professional and very easy to communicate with. They afforded me specific answers to the questions I had raised in a mail prior, allowing me to make the required choices on a fully informed basis. From my perspective I also enjoy the meeting which was conducted in an informal way in a comfortable office. Very good.”

“My accountant Leanne Revie was offered a unmissable opportunity to work for Elsby &co and brought her clients on board with her which turned out to be false. They hiked the prices up without notification. Even after staying with them for years when COVID came lost my business still owing them money and arranging payment plan due to my circumstances I was late masking a payment and they directed me to debt collection who added hundreds of pounds to my bill. Disgusting, disappointing, unsympathetic and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone!!”

Melanie, I am very sorry that you feel you had to write your review. I have spoken with Kupesh Patel to understand the situation and credit notes have been issued to cover the additional work which was carried out as we appreciate that you had not given your express prior agreement to Leanne Revie. However, an account history does show that you missed 9 x monthly direct debit payments and it was these that were discussed with you and we offered a longer term payment plan as a solution. We never like to loose a client but wish you well and all the best for the future.

“During the pandemic my family and I purchased our first house with a mortgage. ‘Carl’ had been recommended to us by a couple of people. We contacted him and he was extremely negative about our situation. He told us there was no way we would get a mortgage. We spoke to someone at Habito and in summary, they found us an excellent mortgage the same day, we got a much better deal than anything Carl suggested he might be able to achieve and what’s more, there were absolutely NO FEE’s and the service from start to finish was absolutely impeccable. For what this guys wants in fee’s, I think the quality of his work may be lacking! I’d highly recommend anyone talking to this guy speak to Habito or any other fee free broker and simply see what else is on offer. I think you’ll be impressed and save yourself your some money and time. This guys an ‘expert’ in lining his ow; pocket more than getting people mortgages!”
