“I purchased the Grip Studs to install on the front tires of my tractor to get better traction while plowing snow. I had tried chains on the front tires but they were risky because if they loosened up they would bur against and bind on the axle. The Grip Studs were easy to install and have performed very well, a great improvement in steering traction while plowing snow. I chose the Grip Studs because the auger style made more sense to me than the screw style of competitors. I plan to leave them installed on the front tires year around since the tractor only sees dirt and gravel. Based on my minimal experience so far, I think they will work out just fine long term. I contacted Grip Studs to verify the size / model to use for my tractor. I received a quick response. I made a second purchase to install more studs on the tires since I initially miscalculated how many I would need. My neighbor also purchased some Grip Studs after he saw them on my tractor.”

“Such a proponent of this company! Many hours of forum scrolling and youtube perusing led me to the conclusion that you get what you pay for when it comes to studding dirt bike tires. I made the investment in these studs and am so happy I did! My first ride was on my local singletrack in 6-8" of fresh snow then over top of some iced in tracks of riders the week prior. I'm truly blown away by how fun and easy to ride it is! Braking, accelerating, leaning the bike, it's all there! The customer service experience with Brian was top notch. If you're on the fence about investing in these, I hope this review nudges you into purchasing. Thanks Grip Studs, winter is going to be a whole new season!”

“These worked exactly how I hoped they would. I was able to add studs to some snow boots I use for ski biking. They gave me much better grip on the icy sections when kicking to get my speed up, and steep sections for walking without slipping. The only advice I would give for those looking is to consider the width of the tread pattern on your boots. The auger that is screwed into the sole is much wider than what is exposed, which reduces the likelihood of being pulled out but also makes it harder to install on finer tread patterns where there isn't a wide spot to drill into.”

“Shipping and delivery were affordable and prompt. I am running z treads on a Cat 259D, and installed 120 Grip Studs per tread in a staggered pattern (2 outside, 2 inside next tread, 2 outside, and so on). Substantial difference in drip in loose and compacted snow on my gravel drive and dirt road here in NW Montana. Where I was spinning in circles on the plowed dirt road in front of my driveway, the machine holds solid. I have once slipped off the side of my crowned gravel drive into deep snow due to operator error (white on white, hard to see at times). The Grip Studs allowed me to simply correct direction and slowly pull right back up on the drive. Highly recommended”

“These work amazing in knobbies on ice, wish there had been more info on how many it takes to do a tire... luckily a local shop had them in stock. It takes about 300 for a dirtbike.”

“Purchased 250 studs for my fat bike (bud and lou's) and Turbo levo (Butcher/Eliminator) set up's. Been biking to work for the last five years and have fallen on icy roads too many times, never considered self-install. But, Grip Studs changed that. Easy to install and have spare studs leftover. Have been riding for two weeks now and haven't lost a stud. 5 stars.”

“I have had run grip studs in my dirtbike tires every winter for the last 4 seasons. They are amazing, lasting a long time and providing excellent grip/traction. I recommend anyone curious about the experience of riding in the winter to invest in a proper set of these studs.”
