“It was a scam, I put in a total of $26797.93. I do not intend to spend that much money. I have a limited amount of money, but the broker persists in suggesting that I borrow from friends and family or even take out personal loans to boost my investment. He assured me the funds would be returned to me within a week and the investment fund was secure in my account. Indeed, the investment was double up from my capital. The return has met my target, and I want to withdraw all my funds. Told by the broker I need to add some funds to the account before closing it to finalize the agreement. I was asked by the broker many times to contribute to the fund, but I am not willing to. I informed the broker that I currently do not possess the money. My bank account is empty despite struggling to pay essential family bills in November. The broker reassured me that I can withdraw the profit, including the principal. The broker informed me that I would be contacted by the independent finance department for anti-money laundering verification before withdrawing my funds, as required by MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore) regulations. The guy called and told me that I have to show fund $20,000 in order to release my funds back to my account. I informed the man that I am unable to provide the money as I am already in debt from closing the investment account. Despite the man's insistence that I should borrow money from someone I know, he is affiliated with MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore).
