Worst roast dinner we've ever had. Went in for a Sunday roast and was firstly told there was no pork, there was also no stuffing. We were asked about dietary requirements and I informed them of a milk allergy. After checking with the kitchen I was told all the gravy had milk in so was bought out a roast with no gravy. The roast beef was hard and dry and has been sliced up and roasted. After we complained that the beef was hard and dry and not edible they then proceeded to bring out beef slices boiled in Brussels spout juice??? Shame we didn't get a photo of it as it looked like boiled meat slices. Which looked nothing better than dog food. Absolutely disgusting. This was sent back to the kitchen. My husband had to eat his meal as he had no choice as he was going to work and had to eat something even though it was disgusting, hard meat and dry with gravy the consistency of a thick apple sauce. We are now going to go for a roast elsewhere as have not eaten and after asking for the manager, the supervisor Tom, told us we had to pay for the meal. Shocking customer service and vile food and to top it off we ended up paying for it! Worst restaurant experience and food and would definitely advise people to avoid this place if you want a meal.

The 2 stars are given for the food which could not be faulted. The room we were in was dark and gloomy, even on a bright day. Behind a rather scruffy curtain, there was a much brighter and better set out dining area. The waitress, although friendly, knew nothing about the menu or what non- alcoholic drinks were available. She was unable to answer basic questions about the meal options. The non- alcoholic juice was served to my pregnant daughter-in-law in the bottle with a straw, so that she felt like a five year old! We had to ask for a glass with ice. The cauliflower cheese was plonked on the table with no serving spoons. The staff seemed disorganised. We were asked to pay our bill in the bar downstairs where we had a long wait before anyone seemed bothered about taking our money. We felt the whole place could do with a good tidy up and a few nice touches of cosy decor. A shame really....5* food with a McDonalds type ambience!
