I regularly fish the Wiltshire chalkstreams and have tried a wide range of variant Sawyers pheasant tail nymphs and killer bugs over the years for wild trout and grayling…but this particular killer bug tying style and body material performed exceptionally well on recent trip …in particular, the slim and thin body profile, slight sheened colour when wet and subtle segmentation …I was genuinely surprised and delighted as I have my regular faithful confidence patterns …maybe the fish were please to see something a bit different ! …would highly recommend any one giving this selection a place in their fly box
