I recently purchased the JSP EVO VISTAlens Dualswitch Vented Reflective Safety Helmet, and I genuinely can't fault it. Having worn standard-issue hard hats for many years, the difference is night and day. The helmet feels extremely well made, fits securely and is very comfortable even when worn for long periods. The wheel-ratchet adjustment and 4-point chinstrap give it a much better and more stable fit than a conventional hard hat. The integrated retractable safety eyewear is probably my favourite feature. It's always there when required, provides excellent visibility and means you're not constantly looking for a separate pair of safety glasses. The lens is also anti-scratch and anti-mist rated, which makes a big difference when working outdoors. The vented design is another big plus. JSP states that the ventilation can reduce the temperature inside the helmet by around 2–3°C, and it certainly feels noticeably more comfortable in warm conditions. The CR2 reflective material also gives excellent additional visibility in poor light. What really sets this helmet apart is the overall design. The DualSwitch system allows it to meet both EN 397 and EN 12492 configurations, while the integrated eye protection, secure fit and compatibility with other JSP PPE make it a very versatile piece of equipment. It isn't the cheapest safety helmet available, but having now used one, I wouldn't want to go back to a basic standard-issue hard hat. Comfortable, practical, extremely well designed and worth every penny. Highly recommended.
