We are just back from a two week holiday with Trek, our first week was the flotilla in the Ionian and second week was at Lixouri Bay Resort. All I can say was they were both fantastic. We are a family of 5 and the kids hadn’t done much sailing, the flotilla was perfect for them to get used to life on a yacht. The skipper and hostess were just amazing (thank you Will & Anna!), really welcoming, friendly and fun! I have been in the Ionian before and knew the area quite well, they organised a fantastic route with plenty of great anchorages, some evenings we were in a marina/harbour, other nights stern to the shore in a beautiful bay sleeping under the stars. They seemed to know all the best restaurants and places to go, There were only 4 boats in total which meant made it really personal and lovely for the kids who got to hangout with other children on the flotilla. Then we went onto Lixouri Bay, where again we had a brilliant time. The hotel is family run and you get to know all the staff well as it’s so small and personable. The food is fantastic, the sailing facilities and tuition was just superb, Jake who runs the sailing team made sure there were enough activities for complete novices or experienced sailors. The equipment was excellent and it was a delight to have all the boats rigged for you! We were amazed to find that a lot of the guests were on their 3/4th visit to the hotel, which speaks volumes! We will definitely be booking again next year. It was a perfect family holiday and can’t thank everyone at Trek for making it so special.
