I found the assembly and mounting of the awning by myself fairly simple and clear-to-follow steps using the enclosed instructions. I do wish the web site gave the necessary height clearance above a door or window lintel for mounting above a door or window. I had to move the upper horizontal rail as high as possible in order to clear the vertical sidewings. If you view the photo below, you can see that I had practically 3/8" of space available of vertical clearance. I could not move the awning assembly further to the right, because the right sidewing was mounted at a wall edge.
