Once you get used to all the permutations possible w/ the 3-point workpiece clamp system (YES you always need all 3), this saw makes quick work of cutting your metal. A major reason for upgrading from my 6-year-old Evolution chop saw was for more accurate 45 deg cuts. As you can see from the attached images using a piece of scrap 1" x 3/16" flat stock, the cuts were fast, quickly reproducible and accurate. You will create more cutting shavings that are much finer than on older chop saws. If you have an Evolution Magnetic Chip Collector, cleanup is simple because of the non-magnetic aluminum base. The saw also is much quieter than my older chop saw.
