After getting some orthodontic work done I had (and still have) occlusion problems with my back teeth, which weren't touching at all for years in spite of multiple adjustments. This led to a lot of stress on my front teeth and molars (leading to stress fractures) and stress on my jaw as well. Since I've purchased this mouth guard I'm more hopeful I can keep those issues at bay.
