First, the color! Definitely very close to the pictures, and the color lasted for the entire two weeks that I wore the nails, so no complaints about the color! Next, application: This was my first time using ohora nails and semi-cured gel nails, so I had a little bit of trouble getting the nails off the clear plastic sheet, but firm tweezers and tiny pliers helped me pull the nail off without getting oils on the sticky side. Once the nail was on my finger, it was very easy to position it and cure it with the ohora gel lamp. Afterwards, I shined them up a little bit with a layer of top coat, although it wasn't really necessary. Throughout the next two weeks, I would apply top coat to prevent the nails from snagging my hair, though I only needed to apply it twice. Durability: This is where ohora lost the fifth star. Color was beautiful, application was simple, but durability was severely lacking. I expected my nails to stay on for at least a week. They started falling off within three days. I would have rated them lower, but I suspect that the nails' durability was affected by more outside factors. For example, I've never worn fake nails for an extended period of time, so I'm not used to using my nails gently. That probably contributed to their rapid, accidental removal. In addition, I spent a lot of time doing things that are very rough on my fingernails, like moving furniture, reorganizing packed drawers, crocheting, drumming my fingers on hard surfaces, and plenty of other habits. So, if you are violent towards your nails like I am, buy a good nail glue. Whenever I could find the fallen fake nail, I could easily glue it back on. Usually the same nails would fall off two or three times total, so probably six out of 10 nails never fell off in 14 days. I would give this 5 stars if ohora could make their nails so strong that they could survive my crazy life for 7-8 days. Removal: Super easy to remove (partly because they were falling off), and they only left a little bit of residue behind, which came off right away with nail polish remover. To be fair, most of that residue was probably leftover top coat. Overall: I really do like these nails! I love the color, the ease of application, and the (relative) durability! I would definitely buy them again, but I won't need to for a very long time, since ohora provides 30 nails in each box, and I bought multiple boxes. Tips for beginners from someone who learned the hard way: peel the nails off the plastic sheet with strong tweezers or tiny pliers so you don't get oils on the sticky side. Definitely use top coat, especially about a week after applying the nails, so that they don't snag your hair. Last, buy a good nail glue if you're hard on your nails but want the appearance to last for at least a week. Notes on the photos: the ones where all the ohora nails are present were Day 1 of wearing them. The photos where nails are missing are the ones I took on Day 14. The only nail that broke was my left thumbnail, which I found highly unusual. It broke on Day 8 or so. No other major chips or damages to report.
