I bought these boots as a second pair, to go with the #500 Stout Brown pair I already had. One thing to note about the Style #1609 (550 series) boots is that they are a tighter fit than the Original (500 series). Not just the same pattern boot with different leather, etc. Different shape. Mine are still wearing in, so I am not sure how well they will ultimately fit. But my advice would be not to assume that just because a size 10 #500 boot fits that a size 10 #550 boot will fit as well. Overall, I like my antique brown boots. They look great and seem very durable. The sole is really stout and has good grip. Once they wear in a bit more, I expect that they will be very comfortable. They have improved a lot since I've been wearing them and are no problem right now.
