As I have been working from home a lot recently I decided to try and make it as painless as possible by purchasing a electric standing desk. The main reason I went for Desktronic over other brands was because these legs were rated for 100 Kg where many others are only rated for 80 Kg. This was important as I built a solid 27mm thick beach wood (Buchenholz) top that weighs over 20 Kg on it's own. The legs, feet and mounting brackets are wide and look more stable than some other desks. The legs are made of heavy duty steel and are very well finished with no rough edges left over from the manufacturing process. I also chose the legs because they have a single strong motor, rather than 2 motors because some reviews of dual motor desks say that dual motors means a second point of failure and the 2 motors are often weak and of poor quality whereas the motors in single motor desks tend to be stronger and less likely to fail. Also dual motors need to be perfectly synchronized or the desk will end up at an angle. I have seen this issue in the reviews of at least 2 other desks. The legs came in a box packed in high density polyurethane foam, so even though the box was a bit banged up on the outside there was no damage to the contents. Putting the legs together took me about an hour because I took my time. All the parts were labeled with a very clear manual. I especially like the fact that they included one extra screw of each type in case one were to get lost.Once I had added the heavy top and lifted the whole desk up I tested it and it was quieter than a lot of other standing desks that I have tried. The controls and memory functions works perfectly, thought they are a bit sensitive, twice the desk started moving when I accidentally brushed up against the controller why running cables. The desk is very stable but when it is at full extension it will wobble if you shake it but for normal use it doesn't move at all.As far as durability is concerned I can't say because I have only been using it for one day, but I hope it lasts for a long time. It does come with a 5 year guarantee so I am hopeful it will last at least that long. The price while not cheap, is a lot more reasonable that many I have seen and considering the build quality I think it is definitely good value. So far I am very impressed with this product and can definitely recommend it to other people considering buying a standing desk.
