Full review \/ The nerf Ultra Speed is the fastest mass production blaster out there, firing just above 7 shots per second. I bought one from bargainmax a month ago and it's still as good as new. Along with its durability it has two specially designed clips for fast firing and 24 accustrike ultra darts. While these clips are not compatable with other nerf blasters they are specialy designed for the Ultra Speed to achieve what the other blasters cannot. In my testing, when a whole clip is fired at the full fire rate (mag dump) the Ultra Speed achieved a firing velocity of 73ft per second with the first dart and a firing velocity of 69ft per second with the last dart fired. These results show that the darts do not slow down like other blasters on the market. A example of why this is important is the nerf rapid strike, which while marketed as a "rapid fire blaster" could only achieve a burst of 4 darts before the firing velocity was insufficent and the blaster jammed. The testing also showed that the Ultra Speed could reliably, while mag dumping, be used to achieve a accuracy of 25% at 2m when targeting 10cmx10cm square targets. (dont judge my poor accuracy its full auto you dont hit things firing that fast!). If we compare the Ultra Speed against the rapid strike this shows that the Ultra Speed has 4 times the accuracy at 3 times the speed of the rapid strike. At £19 the Ultra Speed puts other nerf products to shame. My Ultra Speed was delivered on time and undamaged, yay. Customer sevice even responded to my messages, wow. I have over 40 nerf blasters the Ultra Speed is a combination of all the good aspects and non-of the bad. FYI this isnt related to the Ultra Speed but is usfull knowledge. If you have nerf blaster's clip for darts do not store your darts in them. If you do the springs force will have decreased by 20%ish over 1 year. Just knowing people do that bugs me.
