This neutralizing gel is meant for blemish and after blemish care, and although I have used this on some breakouts I've had the last couple of weeks, my main target for this is to tackle the very stubborn sunspots on my cheeks. It's the kind of sun spots that takes a mountain to move and this is a lovely part of the overall attack together with retinal (PM) and vitamin C (AM). The neutralizing gel is a nice multi-tasker, including Azelaic Acid (5%) to help reduce redness and pigmentation, Salicylic Acid (2%) to exfoliate, Bakuchiol (0.5%) and Squalane (5%) to bring in hydration and fatty acids. I've been finding azelaic acid really effective for my skin and it works really well as part of my multi-attach approach. I target this on my hyperpigmentation areas, which are mainly on my cheeks. Really enjoying the consistency of this. The texture has a creamy gel-like consistency and spreads easily on the skin. It absorbs really quickly into the skin, so I work it in quite fast before it dries. I didn't experience any irritation from this and I've been using it almost daily in either AM or PM routine. My hyperpigmentation has been kept at bay recently, if not even lightened slightly (it is moving slowly and even just keeping it at bay with my aging skin which just wants to bring out more old sun damage, is a win), and this has been part of the mix for the last few weeks.
