I bought my Popov wallet a little over a year ago and was very excited to be getting a wallet made from top quality leather that was hand crafted in beautiful BC. There is no doubt that the wallet is extremely well made. The leather is thick and beautiful and so is the thread that it’s sewn with. It’s held up extremely well and still smells new. Unfortunately however, it’s strengths are the cause of it’s weaknesses. The entire wallet is made from the same super thick leather, even the interior pockets, causing the empty wallet to be nearly as thick as my old wallet was when full. When this wallet is full (8 cards) it is uncomfortable to sit on if you keep it in your back pocket. Also, over time as it’s been sat on, the top and bottom seem to have spread apart and when I take it out it’s permanently misaligned when closed. A minor thing really but it makes it look ragtag in my opinion. If you want a wallet that’s burly as hell and don’t think the issues I’ve had would be a problem for you, you’ll love this wallet but it didn’t end up working out for me.
