These straps are significantly heavier duty than bungee cords. Holding some of my equipment in place was a task for bungee cords, that which is evident by the stress placed on the bungee cords. As you can see in my pics, the bungee cords tend to begin failing if too much stress is placed on them, where as the bungee straps with the e-track component not only handles the stress better, but also eliminates the need to have two products (e-track rings & bungee cords.) The green bungee cords are in great shape and have not been stressed. If you look at the base of the black plastic hook, you will see all of the bungee intact as it should be. On the blue bungee it was stressed excessively holding up equipment and started to pull the bungee cord away from the plastic, thinning the overall amount of material leading into the black plastic hook and edging ever closer to failure. These straps are way better! I highly recommend them!
