Used with dry contacts, this is a valuable piece of smart home tech. It allows you to create automations based on pressure - for example on a bed or a seat. I have found it ideal for shift work so that some automations do or dont run based on me being in or out of bed during the day or night.
Also great for energy saving. If no pressure on couch, turn off tv.
