Lovely colour! I am an unusual shape - which is how I got in to tailoring! So I like to make things that fit me. One of the things I make is funky trousers. I use a concealed zip at the side. It's so nice to find something other than beige, black or navy. (Though, to be fair, you will only see the dangly bit of the fastener!)
