I have finally got round to reviewing the foam I purchased last year. I had bought a tool chest for my garage and wanted to make my setup with the draws tidy and easy to access. I searched online and found these foam inserts. I watched the youtube video showing how easy it was to cut the inserts out for the tools.
I bought the basic cutting kit with this which is more than enough. Firstly you want to cut the foam down to size for the draws. Use an off cut to practice how to slice the inserts first. Then layout everything you want for each draw, get it all lined up, then started the process of slicing the inserts around the socket or tool. You can go dictate how much you want the tool or socket bit to recess in the foam.
I am very happy with the product and in my view is good value for money and provides an excellent solution for many hobby mechanics and those in the trade. Have a look at my pictures and layout as an example of how my tools are laid out.
