This item was purchased as a replacement for a WS-9032IT because the outside sensor stopped working after the recent cold weather. The WS-9040IT is a slim line version of the WS-9032IT with the same size screen and some of the previous functions plus a couple of different functions. The WS-9040IT is a much more convenient item presented in a slim line case and I never actually used the alarm and snooze function on the WS-9032IT so it is not missed. The instruction booklet is not all that good but adequate as I had no trouble setting up the item.
