This is a cracking camera. We bought a pair. Even in October in the UK, in a reasonably shady area, it stays well charged. The picture and video quality is excellent. This version has some red/infra-red lights that come on when activated, and animals notice this. One thing that we did not bargain for was hostile action. This (solar-powered) camera is IP66 rated, meaning splashproof; others are IP67 (immersion-proof) but perhaps not with the solar option. I thought splashproof was probably OK. However, as shown in the video, an otter objected to being recorded, tried to destroy the evidence, and took the camera into the pond. Despite that, the camera continued to connect and allow photo/video downloading whilst bobbing in the pond -- at a point when we had not found it yet. Though its battery may have been damaged. Well worth it given the evidence it produced! But probably better to select something more waterproof for this specific situation.
