Richard John Ward
We had an old clock in our church which was architecturally just right but terrible at accurate time keeping despite the attention of clock repairers. A few years ago we took out the mechanism and replaced it with an antique-style caseless battery clock which fitted exactly and the face was very similar to the original. This battery movement stopped working this year and Jones no longer make that model so I ordered the clock movement which you sell and it is working fine, and the hands are closer to the original. Because of the awkward position, the battery ha been replaced by a dummy and a twin lead brought out to a custom mains adaptor with battery back-up. The peak current requirement was found to be under 10mA. I hope the new movement lasts longer than the shelf life of the battery!
