Wasn't keen on dealing with petrol cans anymore and had a really bad experience with a brand new diesel generator so thought I'll give LPG a try since we have bottles on site anyway. Best decision ever. Running a food truck at around 5.5KW average load over 10 hours a day. Ran 170 hours so far without the slightest glitch. Generator runs smooth with only very minor audible changes when heavy loads come on or off and didn't have the slightest flicker of lights in the place like I was used to on other machines before. Oil looked very clean after the first change and had no visible specs of metal in it at all. Consumption is about 1kg of LPG per hour on average 5.5KW load. Cold start on LPG only (haven't put any petrol in the tank yet and not planning to ever) is very good. After hooking up the gas line I do a 5 second crank (electric starter), then wait for 5 seconds and on the 2nd crank it fires up right away every single time. I don't like how the gas hookup sticks out of the side of the generator so I installed a 90 degree elbow and to make things easier a sievert quick release coupling. The supplied regulator looked a bit cheap (I used it for a few days and it worked fine, the LPG hose was supplied as well so not a complaint) so I installed a automatic switchover kit that hooks up to two 47kg bottles and has a regulator integrated. As soon as pressure drops in the main bottle (being empty or bottle freezing) it switches over to the other one and I would recommend upgrading to this system if generator is used daily and for long periods so you never have to worry about running out in operation and maybe damaging the voltage regulator if the load is high when it happens. All in all a great generator for a very good price and I'm very happy with it for sure.
