Several years ago, I want this holster. Vedder did not have it for the 1911s. I questioned “why” and was told the demand was not high enough to justify molding them. I purchased a hybrid from another holster maker and was very disappointed in the fit of the pistol and the pistol’s ready availability for extraction. For me, the Vedder hybrid OWB works. If I need my 1911 in my hand, it extracts with a slight tug and the holster releases the trigger guard. The pistol is in my hand. After using my Vedder hybrid for several months, I purchased another one for a different size 1911.
