Stamp Howe is spacious, quiet and very comfortable. The garden is lovely and our dog enjoyed the many walks nearby. It is ideally situated for Ullswater, Coniston and very close to Ambleside and Windermere.
Crockery, glassware and cutlery could do with being updated, and chipped paintwork on the kitchen cupboards as well as a plinth which was sticking out didn't make a very good first impression.
However, we enjoyed our stay there very much and the Herdwick team were very helpful and supportive. We would definitely go back!
