I was looking for LED replacement tubes for a pair of 1970’s era 6-foot T12 Fluorescent tube diffuser units. As these were ballast and starter type, I chose to try the Bright Source 6ft 25w T8 LED Tube – CCT. These were literally “plug and play,” simple to install and immediate working. The old T12 tubes were 75-85 W, whereas their LED replacements are now only 25W. These are also now set at the 6000°K daylight setting. My only minor negative point is that to apply for the extended 5-year warranty, you need to record the Item and Batch No. from the manufacturer’s product label on the tube “before” installing – I didn’t, so I had to return to the installation and remove each of four new LED tubes to get this information to complete the online warranty application.
