Been a BBQ enthusiast for more than 50yrs owning a Weber since 1987 and learned the benefit of using good quality fuel. Until recently I was using briquettes but then I got my hands on a Kamado style BBQ and needed to use lumpwood. I’ve been using restaurant grade but found some Hardwood products can spit and crackle. Some Twitter Friends in the BBQ community recommended Dalby and the Dalby charcoal has been my best yet and performs well under hot and fast or low and slow. Some charcoal seems very dense and very large pieces that sometimes need to be broken, also takes a while to get going.
The Dalby Charcoal is nicely sized in one pic we see one Big K lump(top) and one Dalby Piece (bottom) the top weighed 127g whereas Dalby was 87g and performed better when I cooked some Pork shoulder on Sunday.
The service was also very good and the Dalby being delivered a few days after my order went in. Also the company seem to have an empathy with its clientele which is really good.
Will definitely order another batch when I need some.
