I purchased this generator to run the house on during extended power cuts, which are becoming more common in our area. We have a smaller generator (2.5 kw) already, but we can only use a limited number of appliances in the house but as power cuts are going to be more regular with renewables being unreliable, we thought it time to upsize. At 8 to 8.5 kw we can pretty much run everything we need to, provided we are a little careful with the utility room items. The generator arrived well packaged and took a little time to do the final assembly, but when I went to start it, it started immediately and ran smoothly. The house seemed to like it! The minor issue is the wheel fitting. As others noted, the supplied R clips don't work and I spent far too long looking for cotter pins! Just a minor issue. Overall, i couldn't be happier.
