I already had one of these cameras, but was so pleased with it that when I had a small win on the premium bonds I decided to buy a second one. We are lucky enough to live on a smallholding in West Wales which we manage for biodiversity. A pair of Tawny Owls has taken up residence in a nestbox. I put the Helarctos camera up on a branch near the box - I needed a ladder to put it up there. But because I can connect to the camera with the phone app, I can see what’s been going on without having to get to the camera. I can see food being brought in, and how the owls glare at Grey Squirrels (which have displaced them from the nestbox in previous years), and mobbing by magpies.
