My wife and I bought a new home from DR Horton two years ago with Deako electrical switches, prior to that I had never heard of them before. The concept sounds good on paper but not so much in the execution. For one thing, the only switch plates available are white. The real issue though is the dimmer switches, I replaced two simple rocker switches with dimmers and at first they worked well. Over time they stopped coming on when first tapped, you had to try it again or really tap them firmly for the contact to be made. (See attchaed video) I tried contacting Deako about my concerns, but was never able to talk to a tech rep. They took my number and said they would call back, which they never did, a couple of weeks later I received two new simple rockers seithes which I did not need, because I still have the old ones that I replaced with dimmers. To say that Deako's customer service leaves a lot to be desired is an understatement. I would still like to know why my dimmer switch do not come on when first tapped.
