Of all the senses, sight is something I always felt would be so disheartened to lose. After this experience, I think I’d change that to my sense of touch. It’s so incredible how much information your fingertips can give your brain about the work around you.
While I was blindfolded while I worked on my sculpture, it’s fascinating how all my other senses just kicked in 10-fold: the aromatherapy, the calming music, the taste of wine… all in addition to feeling my own face and trying to recreate it.
I did it as a single mid-30s woman, but it would be great alone, with friends (shout out to my new friend Régine!), or with a partner/s!!
