It makes a huge spark and I would highly recommend the remote you can shut charger.off any where by hold remote.to wire and hitting the button and then show that there is no power with a 0 for power fix fence turn on saves a huge amout of time running back and forth to charger to shut on and off it tells you how hot the wire is twine wire really cuts the power of then charger and if there is a bad spot in twine wire it will probably melt also make sure end tie offs the hot wire to the wire around post needs to be 3/4 apart or more this charger can jump 1/2 or so pretty easy wish it was weather tight but not a big deal
