“I submitted a B&W file for canvas printing. The print I received was lacking in the tone and contrast of the original file as viewed both on screen and in a semi-matte paper print. I sort of expected that, due to the canvas medium. Since then, I've ordered a color file for printing and I'll let you know how that one looks. I simply think that unless the contrast ratio is boosted before submission, the B&W prints are going to lose some appeal. I'd be interested in more experiments, but I'm on a fixed income and can't afford the "lab" costs.”
