“Not the best natural deodorant, it's too hard for me, but great smell and keeps the B.O at bay. I use this as an inbetween when have ran out of others”
“This is a really effective natural deodorant, it's easy to apply and I haven't experienced any irritation. The tube seems to last a while, the packaging is easy to use and sturdy. It does smell a bit like pesto which some people might find off-putting.”

“I haven't been using this product for very long. It seems to be okay in terms of effectivness on sweat, very easy to use with its tube form, but this lime and basil smell is just very weird. Was expectibg something fresher, instead it is very green and I just smell like Thai basil/aniseed/lettuce. I reckon my body doesn't react well to that smell, so I stopped using it very quickly.”
“I have used this deodorant every day for 6 months and I'm only half way through the tube! It smells great, and last all day. In winter it can get a bit hard to apply, but I just warm it up on my underarm for a minute and it's fine.”
“In my goal to switch to more reusable or eco friendly products finding an effective deodorant has been the most difficult. Many make-it-yourself options still utilise packaging in buying ingredients, the recipes are hit-and-miss, and many 'eco friendly' products are in plastic or non reusable packaging. They are also more expensive so that's a factor to contend with. I've never been overly impressed with what was out there. I am pleased Viva la Body have released their range of deodorant sticks. The compostable tube is refreshing to see, the push-up stick format is also easy to use. Like others, I've found in the cold weather you need to hold the stick there for a couple of seconds to apply it properly, but this isn't an issue. The stick doesn't make my arm pits itch, which some other products occasionally did. I didn't notice was much of an issue before I made the switch over. Since the product is solid and not diluted with water like mainstream deodorants, it appears to be lasting longer - which makes the price point even out. From what I can see, because of the way the product is applied/absorbed I am not noticing stains on my clothes from it. I am an active person, and enjoy bike riding, walking and dancing. I haven't noticed anything different about odor or sweat compared to other brands. I don't mind this scent, although I will be trying a different one next time as it is quite strong. If you're not a fan of application or packaging from other brands, I would recommend giving Viva la Body a try.”
