“I love the fragrance, but my scalp did not like the shampoo bar. I ended up more flakey and itching drove me nuts. Disappointed I went back to my normal shampoo.”
“I left a review a couple of weeks ago to say this bar is amazing as long as you use enough- I've now had to stop using it altogether because once I started using it exclusively (I had been alternating between the shampoo I was trying to use up and this) it made my scalp sooooo itchy I couldn't deal with it! :( I think it just dried my skin out too much! “Unfortunately this product didn't work for me. I've tried using more of the product, less, and ensuring to wash it out completely. Even then, my hair dries greasy or as if there is residue in it. My hair is quite thick and long and I definitely need conditioner after using this product. It leaves a "squeaky" feeling and therefore not easy to comb out when my hair is wet. However, I sometimes have a dry scalp and this bar managed to maintain moisture in my scalp. It also has a nice fragrance.”
“I'm still trying this bar out to get my final verdict. I have very thick and long hair, and also get some dandruff. This bar lathers up very well, and the bar itself will last ages! It gives your hair that squeaky clean feel. However I find it quite difficult to wash completely out, so I've found once or twice my hair feeling a bit oily after a wash. It smells nice and I'll keep trying it out. 4 out of 5 because I'm really liking this bar, just hoping that it's just because im impatient and not washing my hair out properly that it's left feeling oily.”
“Liked the idea if this shampoo bar, as previous bars have dried my scalp. From when you put it in your hair it feels like old school soap, then after rinsing several times it still felt like there was a residue on my hair. After drying my hair the residue was still there made my hair look oily in the middle. I have tried it several different ways and amounts. Same result. So it is now in the bin unfortunately. Might just be my hair.”
“At first I was a little worried about all the comments saying the shampoo left your hair feeling waxy/greasy because my hair is more on the oily side, but having tried it I haven't had any problems with that except if I haven't used enough to lather up/given it a good scrub! I think maybe you just have to make sure to use enough... My hair feels nice and soft afterwards and I would highly recommend it!! And of course the lack of packaging is excellent. :)”
“Over the years I seem to have developed sensitivity/intolerance to a number of frequently found chemical. I had been using a shampoo for a while that didn't have SLS or any of the other common irritants yet I'd started to develop what was beginning to resemble a chemical burn around my scalp. Feeling a bit at a loss with what to do I figured I'd give this a go. The lack of added chemicals and the plastic free packaging definite draw cards also Everything I've purchased from Flora and Forna has been great quality so I thought I'd try it. From the first wash the rash I had from the previous shampoo settled right down. No longer red and angry. My hair was lovely and clean with great body.... win!!! Every wash since has seen my scalp improve and now there is no signs of precious irritation whatsoever. I love this product so much that I bought another bar for when my current one runs out. It lasts a LONG time and leaves your hair feeling lovely and not oily at all. I also love not needing a conditioner. I have fine hair but LOTS of it. I highly recommend this shampoo bar.”
