“I never expected this to really taste like meat, but I have to be honest, it was kind of awful. I did not like the flavour or the texture, which was both tough and weirdly soft at the same time. I couldn't eat more than two mouthfuls. It's nothing like real jerky/biltong, but if it tasted nice I'd happily eat it anyway... but alas, I didn't like this at all.”
“This is one of the best jerky products I have had since going vegan. Sort of has the texture of biltong. Flavour is very nice and not sweet like other brands of vegan jerky. I have since purchased again.”
“Have to admit I didn't love the texture or taste. I haven't tried any other flavours but not a big fan of this one. Didn't loathe it, just didn't enjoy. That said, I have never had real meat jerky so don't know how it compares for anyone transitioning to a vegan alternative.”
