For those lost in what material to read/watch/review, this is a great place to start. Not only are the team helpful, Mike is always there to answer your questions - with a phone call! That's really personal. Plus, you get to meet individuals who are in the same boat you are and are experiencing the same thing you are. Community is everything and the thing about bootcamp that other 3rd parties don't have, are the meetups. You meet with other individuals taking the same test you are and you review practice questions. It's a really great tool. You also get a plethora of questions and resources. Bootcamp is worth it.

I took the Pro Practice Bootcamp and loved the experience. The combination of: the structure, accountability, weekly check-ins and group meetups were the keys to success for me to stay on track, focused, committed and motivated. I was able to pass all my pro practice exams shortly after completing bootcamp. I’ve also stayed connected with several fellow bootcampers who are also on this arduous journey. Prior to joining bootcamp, I struggled for years to pass successfully, and the overall experience of self-learning after grad school was extremely isolating and mundane. If you’re on the fence about joining, just do yourself a favor—save the time—and sign up. The bootcamp is a game changer. Make the investment in yourself and commit to getting licensed. I ended up taking the Technical Bootcamp a few months later, but made several mistakes: started a new job, not taking my exams right away, and not properly managing my priorities of mental/emotional/physical health. I attempted a few exams, but were unsuccessful. Mike and his team refreshed the Young Architect Academy shortly after my second bootcamp, and it’s so valuable to have this much content accessible all in one place. As of now, I’ve committed to another round of Technical Bootcamp this summer as an alum, after realizing I need to be surrounded by like-minded and committed individuals to keep me focused to the end. The amount of content we need to learn and understand as professionals—absolutely deserves a well thought-out learning modality such as this bootcamp, created by a mastermind who understands firsthand this dynamic and rigorous process. Mike, a big thank to this robust community you’ve created. You and your team have been extremely responsive. It was awesome getting to meet you in person a few months ago when you gave your talk in SoCal. Thanks for letting me be a part of this community!

Before joining ARE Bootcamp, I struggled to focus and commit fully to studying for the exams. But once I signed up, it was truly a game changer. Mike’s Bootcamp gave me the structure and accountability I needed to reach the finish line. I enrolled in both the ProPractice and Technical Bootcamps, and along the way, I made friendships and professional connections I never imagined possible. The Bootcamp provides weekly assignments, readings, and videos, and after just nine weeks, I had a clear sense of what I needed to succeed. One of the most effective study strategies for me was the weekly meetups. Whether I was preparing to present or simply participating, these group sessions—where we answered practice questions and listened to each other's explanations—made the concepts stick in a way that solo studying never could. They were truly a standout part of the experience. I'm a foreign-trained architect from Colombia, 50 years old, a mom of two daughters (25 and 18), with a husband, a dog, and a business to run—so, yes, I’m a very busy person. But I made a conscious decision: getting my architectural license was the most important job I had, and I treated it as such. That mindset shift helped me prioritize my studies and ultimately achieve licensure. I'm proud to say I received my architectural license in March of this year, and I’m incredibly excited to now put my name on all of my designs. Thank you, Mike, for a wonderful program—and for believing in me.

This is the only Bootcamp / program I would recommend for anyone seriously looking to pass the ARE. The information provided and taught, the accountability, and quality are the absolute best. I started my bootcamp journey in October of 2023, registered, and owned my own firm by March of 2025. I could not have done it without Mike, Lorenzo, Emily and Destiny, believe me I tried. I started my architectural journey in 1990, spending thousands of dollars on classes and tests starting with ARE 3.1. The YA Bootcamp got me to the finish line, and I must say they made it easy in my opinion. Here is my recommendation to anyone looking to become registered, follow Mike's program, be patient, be accountable and you will get there.

Bootcamp isn’t just another test prep service, it’s so much more than that. It’s a community of people who get what you’re going through, because they’re on the same path, working toward becoming licensed architects too. What really sets it apart is how much support and encouragement you get along the way, from the amazing staff to the fellow bootcampers who quickly start to feel like friends. You’re not just studying; you’re growing together, both personally and professionally, and building relationships that stick with you long after you’ve passed your exams.

oining the Young Architect Academy was a turning point in my career. As someone who had been working in the profession for years, this program finally provided me with the structure, motivation, and support I needed to cross the finish line and become a licensed architect. The Academy doesn’t just throw information at you, it builds a system around you. From the weekly accountability check-ins to the powerful mindset coaching and community support, every piece of this program is designed to help you succeed. Team leadership and real-world experience were key, along with an honest, relatable, and fully invested path in your success. Studying for the ARE while working full-time is no joke, but the tools and clarity I gained through the Young Architect Academy made it manageable, and more importantly, achievable. If you're serious about licensure, this isn’t just a helpful program; it’s essential. I’m proud to say I’m now a licensed architect & contractor, a part of the academy, and I truly don’t think I’d be here without this community. Highly recommend it to anyone ready to finally get licensed and take their career to the next level!

If I could give the boot camp 10 stars, I would. My ARE journey began in 2018, and after attempting to go it alone and failing my first three exams, I felt dejected and took a break from studying. Years passed, and after a lot of procrastinating, I finally made getting my license my number one priority - but this time, I knew I needed help. At the start of 2024, I enrolled in Young Architect’s Pro Practice Boot Camp - and it was exactly what I needed. The structure, accountability, and supportive community completely changed how I approached the exams. The boot camp was so beneficial that later in the year, I joined the Technical Boot Camp as well. Thanks to the tools and confidence I gained through YA, I was able to pass all six ARE exams in a row - followed by the California Supplemental Exam (CSE) on my first try. This program was a turning point, one that I would recommend to anyone serious about passing the ARE.
