“The very first trip I went on after purchasing my Hydronaut was to Pyramid Lake where I fished in some pretty nasty weather. All day in on-and-off rain and strong winds. I was extremely happy with how well it held up. I stayed extremely dry. I will also add that the jacket is quite heavy, even though it is not the insulated version. I am glad I did not buy the insulated one because this one is PLENTY thick and warm for my needs. The insulated one is clearly for the ice-fisherman. I can wear as many layers under this that I need on really cold days, but even by itself it is pretty warm. Most importantly it kept me completely dry all weekend. Very happy with the jacket. Didn't need to wear my bibs this weekend because I was wearing my waders but I have no doubt that with the bibs and the jacket, I am bullet proof. One thing I will say about size though. The size chart is WAAAAYYYYY off. I am 6'1" and 185 pounds. My regular pant size is 36 x 33. I originally ordered the large Jacket and the large Bibs. The large bibs are listed as a 32 inch inseam, which I was worried was going to be too short for me. They were HUGE!!! I returned them and got the medium bibs but they are only listed as a 30 inch inseam which should be way too short for me. However, they fit perfect. So I am finally settled in with a Large jacket and medium bibs and now I am good to go. I absolutely love them. And on that note, I received excellent customer service with the returns/exchange with no shipping costs. So overall, Aftco has a new happy customer with me.”

“Incredible!! I will never NOT have hydronaut gear on hand when outdoors. I was in perfect comfort while in flooding 35 degree rain. My bilgepump was almost constantly running, but I was as comfortable as on my couch. I'm buying a second set asap. Definitely do buy this gear. It's world class.”
