“I really like all the Books of the Bible that Alabaster has released. They started on Kickstarter and have taken off from there. Buy one or all and you won't be disappointed. They make a good conversation starter with a fresh and contemporary look. New Living Translation from Tyndale House Publishers. They are printed on a little heavier paper and with some spacing for easier reading. I'm waiting for their next release. I plan on carrying mine with me to the beach and appointment waiting rooms where I like pages that turn as I read.”
“This is such a gorgeous book. The photos are beautiful, and bring a unique experience in reading the scriptures. It looks great on my coffee table too.”

“I get so excited every morning to sit and read this copy of the Book of Pslams while I sip my coffee. I love they way it looks inside and the way it looks on my coffee table !”

“I got this as a gift from a good friend of mine. Ive often felt skeptical when it comes to some modern day redesigns of the bible. Ive seen many small publishers and companies try to pair imagery with scripture unsuccessfully in a way that either disconnects the reader from the text or brings only a more obvious narrative approach to its imagery. I really appreciate their level of intentionality when designing this. Its often a very fine line to walk when designing a bible. I can see that they want to treat the word of God with as much respect as possible, doing justice to the meaning of the passages, while also providing a visually smooth reading experience.
After reading a few chapters of the Psalms, knowing Psalms is a book that presents very deep human moments interacting with God, the imagery paired with certain chapters is very powerful, and at times it made me feel a deeper connection with the experiences of David in a profound way. I love the abstract imagery, very beautifully done, and thoughtfully integrated and paired with the text.
As a creative myself, I have often wondered about the purpose of art and design and what its role is as a follower of Christ. Alabaster excites me because they are opening a conversation to a dialogue on this question that a lot of creatives are asking today. Overall, this is a really well done piece. Looking forward to seeing what comes next.”
