“It was great to see the visual art enhancing the text of the Gospel of Mark. At first, I was concerned about the inverted photographs thinking that I had gotten a flawed print of the text. However, I began to realize that Jesus was proclaiming a kingdom that would turn our world on its head. Every value that we have is upturned and upended by the advent of the Kingdom of God. The king comes as a suffering servant and His Kingdom brings conflict to our current world as it seeks to destroy sin and its hold on our world.”
