This is important because this color gradient is woven throughout the inside cover and all throughout all the images in the book. This is on purpose of course to symbolize the wealth of the generous Corinthian church. And true to Alabaster form, everything has a purpose and is carefully curated. You’ll notice that compared to other Alabaster bibles, this one contains less landscapes. That’s because the Alabaster team wanted to capture zoomed in, close up images—to symbolize Apostle Paul’s intimate relationship with them. I’m thankful for Alabaster’s attention to detail—it’s noticeable, welcomed, and works.
