The external UltraWater filter uses the technology created by AlkaViva to thoroughly clean the water of the harder chemicals, even pharmaceuticals. Read more about UltraWater filtration.
UltraWater filters are not recommended for use in high-sediment areas unless you have a good sediment filter before it. The pores are very tiny and can clog up if the water is too full of any sort of sediment.
Change filters at least yearly.

“This is the third time I’ve used this filter with just one other filter. I have varying degrees of hard water and sometimes you can actually smell the chlorine. I just taste clean clear water that’s thirst quenching.”

“I have not purchased this though it sounds like a fantastic product. However I'm not finding in the product description any kind of explanation as to how these are used . Where are they 'plugged in'? In a water pitcher or does it require plumbing? I wish with each product there would be a 'how to' section, with an exception for the (obvious) water pitchers. I'm reluctant to purchase anything as once it arrives, I wouldn't know what to do with it.”
