“Apoquel seems to be the only medication that helps my dog with her constant allergies even on a special vet diet with essentially no allergens. She used to chew up her legs to the point of bleeding from itchiness and Apoquel helped immensely. My only worry is that this is an immune suppressant and taking it continuously is not great for an older dog who is at risk for cancers and infections. We try to balance when we give her the meds with how itchy she seems to be and find that a lower dose is still effective.”
